Joan Collins and Luke 'Ming' Flanagan. Public Meeting on TTIP

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | event notice author Friday May 27, 2016 00:05author by Stop TTIP

Stop TTIP

The idea of this meeting is to inform people of the secretly negotiated TTIP agreement between the USA and Europe. It is open to all.

We hope to be able to help launch an automonous local Anti TTIP group that can work with unions, political groupings and others to defeat TTIP, by being separate from but co-operative with others. This model has worked with the Water Charges Movement in the area and we hope it can be as strong on TTIP.

On the night members of the already existing community Anti TTIP group will be looking to add new members to help with their work. Joan Collins TD as host of the meeting is facilitating this work with this initial meeting and would strongly encourage all members of the community and members of political groups, unions and interested groups who are opposed to TTIP to attend. But the campaign that is being launched is not a political groupings vehicle to oppose TTIP rather a non aligned community vehicle.
