and against changes to audio signals at pedestrian crossings
last mondays demo in dame st in aid of people with visual disabalities
Monday saw the first of what’s taught to be a number of protests aimed at Dublin city Council. Recent changes in the traffic signalling system in parts of the city which saw the switching off of some of the busiest audio crossing signals have caused its blind and visual impaired people to take to the streets to have them switched back on. It is hoped that by the end of next weeks council meeting, a motion to return the signalling system back to normal will be passed without any objection.
