UL Socialist Youth Invite You
Societies Day Film Showing
8pm, Wednesday 12th, Week 1
Students Union Building Room 3
Followed by snacks, informal chat and Q&A about the film and socialist ideas
- In the last few years Bolivia has seen huge protest movements aginst privatisation of gas and water, the unjust tax system there and succesive right-wing governments.
- Students and workers have led the movements which have succesfully toppeled a number of presidents and brought the left-leaning President Morales to power.
- Now in Bolivia, Venezuela and throughout Latin America, the need for a socialist alternative to capitalism is firmly on the agenda.
- This 35 minute documentary captures the events in Bolivia including the Water, Gas and Tax Wars. It is a must see for all who wish to see similar movements built here to fight against environmental destruction, war, privatisation and low pay.

Maybe, but in UL the calender is really known by week 1, 2, 3 etc, not the actual dates.
Thanks,
Cian
