Public Information Evening - ‘Shell to Sea’ & ‘Save Tara’ Films & Talks - Glór Theatre, Ennis, Co Clare @ 7.30pm.

On Wednesday 26th September at 7.30 pm at the Glór Theatre in Ennis, Co Clare, Clare Shell to Sea will host a public information evening about the ‘Shell to Sea’ and ‘Save Tara’ campaigns.

Screenings of the latest short films from both campaigns will introduced by key speakers:

John Monaghan of Rossport (Shell to Sea), and Kevin Hayes (Save Tara).

The evening will be in two parts, with a refreshment break in the middle, followed by traditional music in the bar afterwards.

The Shell to Sea film and talk will take up the first part of the evening, followed after the break by the Save Tara film and talk. Both parts will have a question and answer session and the MC for the evening will be Fiona Wheeler of Clare Shell to Sea.

Journalists and photographers are invited to attend. Both speakers will be available for interview during the break and at the end.

Clare Shell to Sea welcomes the opportunity to provide a platform for the Save Tara campaign here in Clare. Save Tara is a popular campaign facing similar adverse circumstances as Shell to Sea. The government facilitation of private interest over popular opposition, is something that is common to both campaigns. People in Clare will be familiar with Shell to Sea events held in Clare over the last 2 years, but this public information evening will be an opportunity for us all to learn more about the Save Tara campaign which, up to now, has not had the same level of publicity here in Clare.

Admission is Free. All Welcome.

For comment or to arrange interviews with the speakers, call Niall Harnett & Fiona Wheeler of Clare Shell to Sea at 085 1607287.

NOTE: John Monaghan will also be speaking on Tuesday, 25th September at 7:30 pm in the Teachers Club, Parnell Square West. Dublin. See http://www.indymedia.ie/article/84291
