The Thirty Sixth Anniversary of Bloody Sunday
After thirty six years the families of those killed and wounded on Bloody Sunday - January 30th 1972 - still wait for the truth to be acknowledged. Once again they set out on the Annual Bloody Sunday Commemorative March. This year there is a theme of Truth and Lies.
2.30pm people will assemble at Creggan Shops, Central Drive, Creggan, Derry for the
Annual Bloody Sunday Commemorative March
The annual commemoration march will be followed by a rally at Free Derry Wall.
Speakers will include:
A representative of the Bloody Sunday families,
A family member of one of those killed by the paras in Ballymurphy in August 1971,
A Sinn Féin representative and
An SDLP representative.
This year will see the Bloody Sunday march animated by visual displays and public performances that explore the weekend’s theme of Truth and Lies.
