Sinn Féin Senator Pearse Dohety will address a public meeting in Limerick on the Lisbon Treaty on Thursday 1st May. The meeting, which is being held in the Absolute Hotel at 8pm, is part of a series of meetings being help by the party across the country as it intensifies it campaign against the treaty.
Local Sinn Féin spokesperson Maurice Quinlivan said ”While meeting will formally launch our campaign against the treaty in Limerick we have already over the past number of weeks distributed thousands of leaflets in relation to Lisbon across the city. It is our intention to conduct a very active campaign for a No vote in the run up to the referendum in June. Sinn Féin remains convinced that this treaty remains a bad deal for Ireland and the peoples of Europe. All are welcome to attend this meeting and to participate in our campaign."
