Protesting against Shannon Airport's Complicity in War and Torture
The regular vigil will take place in Shannon on the second Sunday of the month, as usual. Meet at 2pm on the 10th at the small roundabout before the airport entrance (gantry) for one hour. All support welcomed.
The vigil is a peaceful protest against the ongoing use of the “civilian” airport by the US war machine. It is also a demand for open and transparent investigation of how Ireland has aided and abetted torture - and possibly war crimes - and for accountability.
Accountability for Ireland’s role in human rights abuse and suffering is a necessary step towards ensuring it does not continue to happen in the future.
