SHELL TO SEA GORT IS HOSTING THE CYCLIST

Shell to sea Gort invites everyone to an open day with food and music to welcome all cyclist coming from England and from Ireland on their way to Rossport Co Mayo. Please bring a dish to add to the comunal meal.

The “Merthyr to Mayo” cycle caravan will spend two weeks travelling between Merthyr Tydfil, Wales and Rossport, Ireland: two community struggles resisting fossil fuel extraction in their areas.

The time they spend in these communities will provide an opportunity to learn from one another, to share stories and to explore our areas of commonality.

WHEN: Saturday 29TH MAY AT 7 PM IN THE GORT INDOOR MARKET

We will celebrate solidarity and community building as well as sharing experiences with all involved.

Willie Corduff one of the Rossport 5 will be with us on the day sharing his experience and life since Shell started to be part of their everyday nightmare more than 10 years ago.
