The official story is that the origins of the current crisis lie in the collapse of the US subprime mortgage market - i.e. poor people not paying their mortgages. Although this may have been the trigger event, it is not the real cause. The real cause lies in pyramids not houses. Specifically the enormous debt pyramid built up by the Western countries, particularly those following the Anglo-saxon economic model - which, unfortunately for us, includes Ireland. read full story / add a comment

In a clear example of the hollowness of politicians in the current economic crisis, where they claim the bailouts to the wealthy are designed to help the ordinary people, a British court ruling has now up the ante on the attack against the people by allowing a ruling which permits people to be evicted from their homes after missing just 2 monthly payments read full story / add a comment

This scheme will be disguised as "assistance" to the low paid, it will be advertised as much needed relief for the First Time Buyer but in reality is nothing but a misuse of Tax Payer's funds and a direct contribution to keeping already too high Property Prices where they are and bailing out the Brown Envelope Brigade, the Developers who have bankrolled FF forever... read full story / add a comment

While the rest of us are coming to terms with a deepening recession, growing house repossessions, stagnation in rises and steep rise in the cost of living. In the face of a so-called downturn in the housing market and credit crunch, the wealthy in the form of parasitic property developers and speculators expect to be bailed out by the Government for their calculated era in borrowing too much from Banks and leading to first time buyers read full story / add a comment
