Horse Race Protest at Gowran Park Racecourse

category kilkenny | animal rights | event notice author Thursday May 06, 2010 21:04author by Laura Broxson - National Animal Rights Associationauthor email naracampaigns at gmail dot comauthor address PO Box 11019, Dublin 2 Report this post to the editors

If you think horses enjoy being whipped, abused, pushed to their limits and forced to race - think again! Read up on the facts and join us on Thursday!

Hi,

A few of us will be going down to protest a horse race, at Gowran Park Racecourse, in Co. Kilkenny, on Thursday 13th May. This will be instead of the usual tuesday leafleting sessions.

MEET AT: 12noon at Busaras, to get the No. 4 bus to Gowran. A return ticket costs around 14euro, and it's about a 2hour journey.

The protest will start at about 4pm, and finish when the first race starts at 5.20pm. We should be getting a bus back to Dublin by around 6pm.

For more information on the brutal horse racing industry, see: http://www.naracampaigns.org/horseracing.html

Please let us know if you can make it, so I can get a rough idea of numbers for the day.

Thanks,

National Animal Rights Association
