When politicians claim the public supports extreme measures like banning meat or digital ID you can be sure that behind it is a Citizens' Assembly or other dubious method for manufacturing 'consent', says Alex Klaushofer.

Greens have hijacked environmental concern and turned it into a branch of radical Leftist politics. But in truth conservatism cares about conserving our home. Conservatives need to reclaim green politics, says Sean Walsh.

Kieran
This is a copy of an email I sent to the IAWM six days ago.
Hello,
I'm writing an article for Indymedia ireland about the IAWM and the positions it has taken towards the Syrian opposition since the rebellion against the Assad regime started two years ago . Would you be able to confirm that the AGM of the IAWM took place last weekend and whether Syria was discussed at it? Some sort of a report would be very useful .

rgds, Joe

To date I haven't received any acknowledgement that you received the email . The same thing happened last year. You put up a post about your AGM saying that an agenda for it would be published shortly . The agenda didn't appear and there were no reports on the IAWM site about the AGM after it took place. . I wrote to the IAWM but received no reply .

June Alternative G8 summit

With threats against Syria growing by the day and with war on Iran being discussed openly in imperialist circles , surely some sort of a mass anti-war mobilization is urgently needed ? War criminals Obama , Cameron , Merkel and Hollande will all be attending the G8 summit in Fermanagh in six weeks time . Will the IAWM be mobilizing against the summit ?

The following two resolutions should be brought to conference :

"This conference calls for the ending of the proxy war currently being waged on behalf of the CIA by Islamist groups in Syria ."

"This conference will establish a commission to fully investigate the activities of the CIA asset Mahdi-al Harati and his involvement with the Irish Anti War Movement ."
