Justin Trudeau wants to prorogue Parliament to buy time before the election. Voters will punish him for it, says Prof James Allan, but it's a mistake he must be allowed to make without activist judges getting in the way.

Jordan Peterson should make his mind up about Christianity, critics say. Prof James Alexander disagrees: he's a profound Jungian explorer who wants to help a secularised world see why Christianity still matters.

The Greens abandoned Irish Culture

category international | history and heritage | opinion/analysis author Wednesday August 15, 2007 18:37author by Kevin T. Walsh Report this post to the editors

Caligula nominates a horse.....to New Council in Rome

The densest plume of Green Smoke has clouded the whole issue of the Lismullin site and the manner in which the Greens sacrificed the Henge site along the M3 motorway in order to get into Armani suits alongside members of Fianna Fail.

John Gormley - the new Green Environment minister in recent weeks announced a series of initiatives on Lismullin and the M3 which is only a diversion from the truth on his parties abandonment of Lismullin during negotiations with Fianna Fail last month.

The fact is that Gormley, Boyle and Geoghegan were fully aware that the other was due to be signed by then incumbent Minister Dick Roche but why did the Greens fail to even request that this be deferred, much less make it a serious issue for negotiations. What is more fascinating now is the immediate fall out from the Greens decision with the assistance of the idiots in opposition - came to the great relief of John Gormley, to a question of whether or not Gormley had the legal power to reverse the decision? Since then Gormley has had breathing space - his new initiatives on Lismullin - a smokescreen - release of the Departmental file, a review of how the State can protect its heritage and landscapes.

My Jack Russell is now starting to cry.

There was also a meeting with his colleague Noel Dempsey on how to minimise the visual impact of the M3.

Gormley stated on June the 14th that he had not been aware that Roche had intended to sign the Order, which was signed two days earlier. The same day that the Greens had agreed to enter Government with Fianna Fail. This was not announced until the Green Party had endorsed the Agreement.. It is very hard to accept this as the Truth. Dan Boyle slightly told the Truth on Prime Time on June the 14th. His words were 'We were aware that the decision was likely to be made, we were not told when it was going to be made'.

The best now that can ge said for the Green negotiators therefore is - that they knew the decision was pending but they did not bother to clarify when or to whom. The lust for power can turn Green to Darkness suddenly.

My last question tonight is a simple one - the people who are going to make money on this motorway - can they really read a bed time story to their children about Tara? Can any of this Government read to their children about Tara? I don't think so unless you are without pride, dignity, accountability, and without ethics and above all morally.

I will leave you on a short humorous note.

Note since Caligula proposed his horse as the New Council in Rome has an appointment to the Senate caused such controversy as Eoghan Harris.
