Monday December 14, 2009 22:27 by Andrew interviews Ronan - WSM - personal capacity wsm_ireland at yahoo dot com
Interview with an arrestee This audio interview conducted by Mobile phone on Monday evening covers the protests at the COP15 summit in Copenhagen. Ronan who was a member of WSM in Ireland has been living in Denmark for a year and a half and is involved in a new Libertarian Socialist group and the local infoshop in the autonomous Youth House. The following is NOT a transcription of an interview but some rough notes that I jotted down while editing it that will give you a sense of the ground covered in the audio file. The audio itself is about 25 minutes in duration.

Depressing.
All they care about is money. The whole system is completely broken. And it looks like we're all fucked.
Ironically, perhaps our only hope is if the climate change cause sceptics are somehow right and it's just a confluence of natural cycles causing it
Outside Bella Centre with a few thousands who tried to go over fence. 100s of Police using batons, pepper spray, dogs etc. to force people back. Large group of Delegates have staged sit-in inside centre. When they tried to come outside, police stopped them. People's Assembly happening outside on road.
Well done but be careful out there! One possible tactic might be to not let them out again (the ministers that is) until they've come up with something workable!

The RECLAIM POWER Peoples Assembly (audio)
3 audio files from a truly momentous day. The Peoples Assembly was streamed live thanks to the IMC-Radio crew, which was a great thing. Due to cop violence we missed the initial opening of the assembly (there was much chaos and running about)
