2011 Launch in Leinster House

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | event notice author Tuesday January 18, 2011 17:13author by Daithi Byrne - Ógra Shinn Féin Báile Átha Cliathauthor email admin at osf dot ieauthor phone 0858195561 Report this post to the editors

This year’s fight back begins on the 21st January in Leinster House at 7.00pm. Dublin Ógra Shinn Féin
is holding an event which will serve to launch the young republican organisation back onto the political
scene in the capital.

Sinn Féin is leading the fight back of the Irish people against the most unpopular government to date.
Ógra Shinn Féin has been at the forefront of republican demonstrations and protests against
government recklessness and the handover of our sovereignty to the International Monetary Fund and
the European Union.

Ógra activists from Dublin were also central to the campaign of Pearse Doherty T.D who gained a
massive 40% of the first preference vote in Donegal. Recent opinion polls predict that Sinn Féin will
make huge gains in the upcoming General Election.

Sinn Féin has solid economic proposals to get this country back on track and is already delivering in the
North. Ógra Shinn Féin is already a pivotal force in Republicanism, but more can be done. There is no
better time than present to join the fastest growing organisation in Ireland.

On the night of the 21st January, a series of items are on the Clár which include the Annual General
Meeting of Dublin Ógra Shinn Féin, a discussion on Sinn Féin’s new Youth Strategy, the launch of
Dublin Ógra’s brand new website, the showing of a professionally produced short movie, the opening of
our office, and a social event in Murray’s on O’Connell Street.

In order to achieve the aims and objectives of our organisation, sometimes against all odds, the onus is
on you to not only attend this event, but to invite your friends and family and to get them involved in the
fight back.
