Given the choice between two weak tea bags, Australia elected a weak tea bag, says Rebekah Barnett. Liberal leader Peter Dutton even lost his seat, a reflection of his hopeless deficit in personality and policies.

Minister for Social Protection, Joan Burton, in a press release published in the Irish Independent on the 29th of July 2011, hinted that she was going to review the system of Child Benefit along the lines of the CCT method of payments in Mexico and Brazil.

In the last paragraph of the press release she further hinted that Child Benefit might by linked to school enrollment and vaccinations.

Quote: The CCT system makes social welfare payments conditional on the actions of the receiver.

Criteria in different countries include making sure children are enrolled in schools and receiving vaccinations".

The full press release can be read in the July 29th 2011 edition of the Irish Independent.

I would like Minister Burton to clarifty if her intention is to force parents to vaccinate their children in order to receive Child Benefit, because if this was to be the case it would not only be unconstitutional, but it would be also unlawful.

But the thing that angered me the most was the fact that no mainstream media outlet challenged the content of the press release and it seems to have disappeared into the memory hole.

Big Pharma's tentacles reach long and wide. No doubt said vaccine manufacturers will receive indemnity from Burton and Co to peddle their toxic wares. 'Artificial scarcity' will be created and anti-vaccinists will be demonised and labelled quacks and charlatans, even anti-science! Roll up the sleeves and get ready for some Mercury.

......have presented such a compelling case against Shell aggression and Government complicity and economic treason over the years that the only resort left to the trolling classes is namecalling.  That's why they get deleted.  They've lost the argument, and so they resort to sarcasm, which is the last refuge of the scoundrel.

call her names like that (shh the editors are techy like that - or is that your comments are only deleted for name calling if they are directed against the darlings of Mayo or those poor mal-treated residents of Tottenham)

Minister Burton is really shown her true colours of late,Its hard to believe(or not Really)that this is the same TD who was sat up in opposition  in the Dail whinning on in that incesant Drone about the plight of the Poor and how the people on the outskirts of society where bein made pay for the Elites Crimes.

Even at this early stage I would think the most Pigheaded of voters could not deny they voted in Like 4 Like and the last election was both a farce and showed beyond all doubt how theres a 65% plus gulluble moron electorate that will ensure that the political proccess in this morally corrupt state will be little more than a elaborate game of musical chairs. Lets not forget Ahern won a landslide while he was telling a judge he "had no bank Account" .The people that cast them Votes havent gone Away you Know. And in four years it will be Michael Martin with the "new" alternative and On & On ad nauseum

Its amazing to think this Hag is now looking to cut money from those same poor people and cutting hospitals because of benefit "fraud" and in the same breath Handing over Billions to bail out the friends of Fianna Fail and judgin by the low numbers who turned out to protest the "bailout" the Irish people are indifferent to this . What happened to a race who fought against the odds for 800 years against a colonial superpower ?
