EU cheap substitute- ΕΕ φτηνό υποκατάστατο Turmoil caused the decision of prime of Greece G. Papandreou to allow the Greeks to have a say about something-still not clear, what's all about- by hosting a referendum!
The beauty of this action of this gob shit is that by doing so, he exposed even to the bigger advocates of EU, the union for what's really is and always being since its creation beyond any doubt whatsoever , a purely oligarchic structure that represents the interest of big business and banks.
The last year Mercozy (Merkel-Sarkozy) as now being called, the evil twin muppets have ruled and decided themselves for the rest of us ignoring the decision making instruments of the union completely ( parliament and commission). Not that these instruments constitute Democracy.
As I wrote before the only true Democracy is Direct Democracy. All the rest are just very cheap substitutes. |

Any similarity with the current situation in Greece is NOT accidental!?
The above headline of the Greek newspaper "Ta Nea"(26th of June 1976) hosts a statement of the father of the current Prime minister of Greece G. Papandreou, Andreas, saying that there is no way that Greece will enter the EC-back then- without the consultation of the Greek people on a referendum! Cheers, Ta! lol
I ll write in English so other readers can understand, but I think Papandreou was ultimately exactly the force we need now. After such dramatic change in Ellatha (I hate the word "Greece"), it would be hard to compare him and his son. Of course, the EU are whats wrong with our country, and I believe that by far the best thing to do is leave it. They wont let us. Under those circumstances, its hard to blame internal politicians for anything more than the usual hellenic calamities! Perhaps I am being too simplistic, but if you are against the EU, you are for Papandreou and PASOK. I would rather have any genuine PASOK leader in power (whatever power we have) than Nea Thimokratia. Its all been centralized to the EU leadership anyway, so they are to blame.
