22 Irish Hunger-Strikers to be commemorated in Dublin.

Between the years 1917 and 1981 , 22 Irish republicans died on hunger-strike.
Commemoration for the 22 men to be held in Dublin on Saturday 4th May 2013.

Hi !

A rally to commemorate the 22 Irish men that died on hunger-strike between the years 1917 and 1981 will be held on the traffic isle facing the GPO in O'Connell Street , Dublin , on Saturday 4th May 2013 , at 2pm.
Those men will also be remembered in song that night at a ballad session in The Barn House pub , in Dolphin's Barn , Dublin - doors open at 8.30pm and admission per person is €5.

Hi !

This commemoration was held , as advertised , on the isle facing the GPO in O'Connell Street , Dublin , on Saturday 4th May 2013 and, as well as the 22 men who died on hunger-strike between 1917 and 1981 , the 340 female republican prisoners who themselves went on hunger strike between April and November in 1923 were also remembered.
A brief report and some pics can be seen at the 'Related Link' , below.

Hi !

The RSF Dublin Office has secured 1,350 republican leaflets and these will be distributed in 'pack' form (total of 350 'packs') in O'Connell Street at this event , on Saturday 4th May 2013.
50 'packs' will have 5 items , 200 with 4 and 100 with 3.
