Manning Supervisor Undercuts Aspects of Aiding the Enemy Charge
Day Three at the Manning Trial
by NATHAN FULLER
Captain Casey Fulton testified at the end of yesterday’s Bradley Manning’s trial proceedings that there were no specific websites, other than social media sites, that intelligence analysts knew that America’s enemies visited. Capt. Fulton deployed to Iraq with Bradley in November 2009 and was in charge of Bradley’s intelligence section.

The government’s aiding the-enemy charge relies on the claim that Bradley knew that giving intelligence to WikiLeaks meant giving it to Al Qaeda. Prosecutors have cited several times this Army Counterintelligence Special Report, which asks,

Will the Wikileaks.org Web site be used by FISS, foreign military services, foreign insurgents, or terrorist groups to collect sensitive or classified US Army information posted to the Wikileaks.org Web site?

Bradley Manning, the American soldier accused of the biggest leak of classified information in US history, is on trial.
The 25-year-old soldier is charged with providing more than 700,000 documents to WikiLeaks, an anti-secrecy website.
He has admitted leaking intelligence documents, but denies the most serious charge: that he knowingly helped the enemy and put US lives at risk.
Hundreds of demonstrators have gathered outside Fort Meade Army base in Maryland to call for Manning's release.
Among them was a woman who spent more than a year in solitary confinement in an Iranian jail, accused of spying and crossing the border illegally.
This is Sarah Shourd's story in her own words.

Jeremy Hammond's statment regarding his 10 year plea bargain for Stratfor leaks
http://tinyurl.com/oxyfcyb

Jeremy Hammond, American Political Prisoner
Jeremy Hammond is a well known Chicago (h)ac(k)tivist. Today he took a non-cooperating plea bargain of 10 years for his involvement in the intrusion of the private intel security firm Stratfor. He also pled to intruding into government, law enforcement and other corporate websites.

(H)ac(k)tivist is a combination of the word activist and hacker. Hammond is both an on-the-ground activist and an online one, or Hacktivist, fighting for anti-war, social justice and environmental causes. He put his hacking skills in service of his activism. (Full disclosure: I am currently making a movie about the targeting of activists, hacktivists and journalists by the government, and the nexus between the private intelligence security firms and the surveillance state. I combine the two words in the title of my film. Hammond is one of my subjects. Stratfor is one of the private intelligence firms at the nexus.)
