MayDay Festival in Twisted Pepper Dublin on Friday May 2 and Saturday May 3. We’re young workers, the young unemployed and students. We’re people that want to shine a light on the youth crisis in Ireland: unemployment and forced emigration, precarious work & internship culture, fees & grant cuts- not to mention the housing and mental health crises! So, to highlight the bullsh*t facing young people in 2014, we’re hosting the first MayDay Festival in Twisted Pepper Dublin on Friday May 2 and Saturday May 3. Ever since they’ve imposed the bankers’ billions on us, things have got a bit messed up for our generation – so we’re going to try something a bit different. Let’s talk about LGBTQ rights, let’s talk about reproductive health, let’s talk about migrant workers issues and let’s talk about how young people are getting things done today against the odds – while celebrating and connecting it to our rich history of struggle. |
