FOR years it was the dream of every self-respecting Irish student: after a year denouncing British oppression in the college bar, the only way to spend the summer was sipping Guinness surrounded by plastic leprechauns in a Boston pub. Five years ago, thousands of students camped out overnight to get a visa to spend four months in the Irish-loving paradise of Bill Clinton and the Kennedys. Now George W. Bush is begging them to visit. |

its actually better exchnge rate in Canada, where a lot are choosing this year. And you don't have to give biometric information and have a tattoo on your forehead or have some nice american lady poking her finger up ur jaxy ala Abu Ghraib.
so you can pay double or triple the prices for living in DEAR old Ireland. And get a quater less choice in products or services than you can for the same money in the USA.
With the exchange rate the way it is, it's hardly surprising there's a low uptake. You can make more money in Ireland.

Claptrap! The reason fewer Irish students go to work in the US now is that there are so many opportunities at home. The Irish unemployment rate, at 4.2%, is currently lower than in the US for the first time ever. More young Irish people than ever currently go to the US on holidays or shopping expeditions.
