Sunday October 14, 2007 23:12 by LASC - AMNESTY IRELAND info at lasc dot ie
Amnesty Ireland and the Latin American Solidarity Centre (LASC) are organising a talk by Jesús Ochoa on the state of human rights in Mexico and the struggle for justice on the case for the murder of his sister Digna Ochoa. Digna, a human rights lawyer, was murdered back in 2001 and it was 'officially' said it was suicide. However, the way of her death as well as numerous threats received contradict this official claim. Even a note threatening other human rights lawyers was found on her dead body. The public talk will take place on Thurday the 18th of October at 20:00 o'clock in: 20poster_11.pdf 0.53 Mb |
