G.W. Bush Sewage Plant

category international | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Thursday July 03, 2008 00:04author by paul o tooleauthor email pauljotoole at eircom dot net Report this post to the editors

Presidential Re-Naming

GW Bush is in the process of having a sewage plant named after him in San-Fransisco, other Presidents get librarys or hospitals.

The Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco is a group who want to rename the 'Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant' and call it the 'George W. Bush Sewage Plant'

As the presidential inauguration goes into top gear, the group hope to get their supporters to participate in a "synchronized flush"- a way to send their gift to the renamed plant, which the campaign group say, would be a "fitting monument to this president's work."

There have already collected 8,500 signatures in support of the plan - 1,300 more than the minimum needed to put the question to city voters in November.

"This is the way the democratic process is supposed to work, even though it's a silly idea in some people's eyes." Says Brian Mconnell.

Funny as this may seem to be, you cant look past the impact this President has made on the global stage. He has created an atmosphere of hatred across the world for the next president to deal with.
He has caused the deaths of over 1 million civilians in a country which was already disarmed by the UN so their ability to fight back was greatly diminished- a point grossly overlooked by the press. He has created a deficit in the exchequer because of this illegal war to the tone of trillions. He has sent thousands of his own countrymen to be killed in a vainglorious pseudo-patriotic brazen manner which he himself cowered from by joining the National Guard to avoid Viet-Nam from which he went AWOL.

I would think myself that a Sewage Plant named after him is too good for him, A grave yard might be more fitting....The George Walker Memorial Graveyard, and have an eternal flame also, in the hope that such a disgrace to humankind will never grace the world stage again.....some hope.
