Gortvibes co-op welcomes film donations for its library

Gortvibes. A grass roots, voluntary co-op is looking for film makers, producers ,artists and groups to share their films with us in an effort to create a independent film library.

Gortvibes co-op is a volunteer run non-profit group working and creating in the Gort area.
Gortvibes has started its first season of film screenings this year.Showing film from around the earth.
It has done something to address the need for creative social outlets in our community . "Art needs an audience" and we have had a warm response from the community that exceed our expectations .
We screen one film a month a present in Gort Library on a Thursady evening at 8.00pm.Our next film is 'La Zona' a film form mexico showing on march 5th. Our involvement with Access which organises administration and support for film clubs means we can afford to pay for the screening.
We do intend to show films that may have a focus or appeal to a less wider audience. htese will be shown in a different venue as' private' screenings that welcome everyone to watch at no charge.
In conjunction with Latin america Week we will show some film from Latin America specifically focusing on food. We hope to show another as part of our main seasons screening, all going well it will be a film from Brazil. We would like to create a film library and welcome you to offer access to your film collection through donations or as a lending resource. Everything will be considered, bio-pics,documentaries,entertainment,art projects, music, childrens film . Please send the name of the film(s) you wish to share/donate with us and a breif synopsis. The synopsis is important in deciding if we want to take up the offer. Also any extra available information like trailers available on the internet.
