Oh, and Nelson McCausland thinks Catholics are not Christians - he can't find them mentioned in the bible. This guy is in charge of the cultural development of citizens (or 'subjects' as he prefers) and society north of the border.

Entertaining times ahead as the DUP try to out right-wing DUP renegade, Jim Allister of the Traditional Unionist Voice. The only ones to suffer will be nationalists, but what else is new?

The 'republican gunman' Sam Maguire that Nelson objects to was also a Protestant, in charge of IRA operations in Britain during the War of Independence. So at least Nelson considers him a Christian, not like the rest of them romanist sabbath day violators.

Maybe Nelson will try and bring back the old days when swings were chained up on Sunday, cinemas closed down for the sabbath and pubs shut. The less culture the better - more bible reading - and ban the the theory of evolution (as well as climate change) from public discourse.

That's what Nelson calls British.
