This audio consists of 10 brief interviews with public sector strikers made during the national strike on 24th November. Picketers at various locations across Dublin talk of what the strike is about, the effects of the cuts and how their unions organised for the strike.

"We'll have to come out for a week and then a month"

Bishops square social welfare - PSEU picket
"We simply cannot take another pay cut"

Department of Education Marlborough street primary teacher in the north city (DE1)
"The mood can be best described as resolute"

Meath Community Unit
"we are not in secure jobs, they are outsourcing our jobs .. if they take 7% off my wages I might as well go on the labour"

DIT
"the mood is very high tempt and everyone is very committed - it could be all out after the budget"

National Library
"If they take any more it won't be worth my while working.. you need something that really will hurt them"

Dept Ed 2 - school teacher
"in recent weeks the mood is defiantly more militant - teachers are really angry at this point"

Revenue - Georges street
"there are always alternative ways"

Gardener Street primary school - DE4?
"we are a voice for the children as well, its not just about take home pay"

Leinster House - IMPACT member
"people are pretty angry, there is a good spirit but people are angry and afraid"

Multi-denominational school on Ballymun road
"proper wealth taxes will fund schools and hospitals, its all been creamed off by the wealthy"
