Good shooting.
These people are human beings , nothing more and nothing less , just because it suits the government to add these people
to balance the books in order to appease some accountant who is trying to justify his / her position makes it all the more worrying ...Leave them alone, they are doing no harm whatsoever & are merely trying to survive.

Hey Michael,
Thanks for Uploading pictures, great photos as usual. Mosney is actually one of the best Direction Provision Centers in Europe and that really says a lot about how Asylum seekers are treated in Fortress Europe.
The Identity cards which say NOT AN ID CARD are not been reissued and have not been reissued in a long time since 2008 I guess so when an immigration or offical asks an asylum for their ID card (which is not suppose to be a form of id) and it shows out of date they get abused and a reason why asylum seekers are and have been deported to Nigeria illegally.
It is unfortunate that the left in Ireland does not work more on this issue and with asylum seekers, they will protest about USA or UK not going into Iran, Afghanistan or Iraq but where are they when said people get deportations orders and need proper advise and support. About time the so called left woke up to what is happening rather than being online activists and having a meeting to arrange another one.
Thanks again Michael.
Surprising there is no call out to Indymedia readers to go to Mosney and show solidarity. Couldn't see one on a quick look at Residents Against Racism site this morning. Or would this be counterproductive in some way and do the asylum seekers not want this?
Would invite anyone who is reading this and knows more about the issue than I do (which is only what I have seen from RTE and the Irish TImes), in particular any residents of the Mosney centre or RAR contacts, to post a story on indymedia, I am sure they would give it the precedence it deserves and that people would respond and come out. It seems like a huge issue that cuts straight to the heart of what is happening to this country.
You don't mention Vincent Browne on Wednesday night Marc, but it was excellent - he really gave a voice to a group of people that the State would rather just ignore and hope will go away and was really strong in his views on the asylum system which according to today's Irish Times has the EU's lowest rate of granting refugee status.
