No I'm an EX-pacifist. I've no trouble with killing, but I will be sure its a last resort, and it wont be someone elses choice of target if it happens. It is, after all, as the phrase has it, a target-rich fucking environment. But the legitimate targets have all the weapons. The good news is there must be nearly enough ammo by now. Lockheed Martin's planned investment in the Israeli arms industry should see to it that there is a stealth bomber for everyone in the audience.

I have endured the anglicisation of ireland,if you notice,particulary in dublin and up north there is a lot of this..Irish culture and language are not supported and EVEN DISCOURAGED.

Irish have always( NOT AS TRADITION AS SOME PEOPLE LIKE TO SAY),had to fight along english soldiers in the past..and now that is it a matter of choice,some are brainwashed into thinking,(as THEY CANNOT THINK)that joining the army in these times of conflict in other nations is A GOOD IDEA.

Thats a bit simplistic. Britannia and the Teutonic empire were fighting for 'lebensraum' and to see who was to get the 'lion's' share of global resources for their plutocratic industrial elites.Uncle Sam played both ends against the middle, hedged its bets, got the allies into hock and proceeded to scoop the globe. It didn't start in September '39.
As for freeman's '..worse if they'd joined al qaeda'; the Anglo-US coalition of the willing western corporate plutocrats created al qaeda for their own ends and could have had Osama(their former leutenant) on a platter by tugging on the pakistan intelligence rope after 9/11 if the neo-con war party was not so gung-ho for a total make-over of the middle east in their own pseudo-democratic image. With the saudi kingpin getting geriatric and unstable they needed a solid presence on the ground to keep the oil in THEIR engine of carcinomic growth rather than the chinese.

I've had the pleasure of meeting the wrong end of their hardware(fortunately they had the safety catches on).,but I've also worked with ex-squaddies in Germany and Netherlands. Some of them saw themselves much the same way as Paddy soldier in the blue cap in Lebanon.A lot of them were just lads from the lumpen who joined for the chance of getting a trade and an exit from the ghetto they got born into.I've also encountered the Brit rabid reaction animals up close in civies. You sound a bit like a tricolored one from that comment.
If you judge people by their flags you'll turn into a green fucking orangeman.And I'm sure some of them are as disgusted by the shankill butchery as a lot of us republicans were by the shit some of those calling themselves republicans got up to.

The brave Irishmen who fought against the Nazis in WW2 are the ones we should admire, not those IRA types like Sean Russell who actively collaborated with the Nazis even as deathcamps were being constructed in Poland. No need to look at who is joining the British Army to glean the extent of the "west brit" menatlity that resides here. Read todays Sindo and particulatly "Owing Harris" who is actually calling on the Minister to instruct RTE journalists to call the wee six Northern Ireland instead of the North of Ireland.
