Majority rejects pipeline project The Mayo-based Connaught Telegraph weekly newspaper ran an on-line poll this week on the Corrib gas pipeline project, with unsurprising results. As with all previous polls (with the sole exception of a 2006 Shell-commissioned survey) which consistently demonstrated majority opposition to the Shell/Statoil scheme, three quarters of respondents to the Connaught Telegraph poll are opposed to the Corrib gas pipeline. |
