Oxfordshire's green lunatics are at it again, says Ben Pile. Councils which you would think had enough on their plate trying to stop drug and rape gangs are instead spending taxpayers' money on sucking CO2 out of the air.

Department of the Taoiseach, 21-11-10

RTE cut off a press conference as the government agrees to sell our sovereignty.
They should be ashamed
They should be ashamed

As the cabinet meets to finally give up the ghost of our sovereignty and bring in the IMF individuals start to stand up. Earlier today the guards arrested a man for standing on the pavement in Dublin 2 (he was succesfully wrestled to the ground) although RTE's camera van across the road inexplicably missed the brave garda action.

A memorial to the brave experiment of Irish independence was constructed on the road - 1916 - 2010 in candles to mark the 94 years from the declaration of the republic to the day a government minister told us that sovereignty was overrated.

Ordinary citizens started to assemble - at this point with little except a sense of shame that is turning to outrage. Standing outside the gates of the department of the Taoiseach I was struck by how upset ordinary people were as they came up to the Guards - one older lady referring constantly to 'my gardai, that I had such respect for throwing that man to the ground'.

Here come the gardai here come the guards
Here come the gardai here come the guards

Why did we have to rely on Sky News to trasmit all of the Cowan and Lenihan bailout/sellout press conference this evening - RTE cut away when Vincent Browne started asking hard questions of Cowan and after these questions, the conference - RTE are State puppets and they should be ashamed of themselves
