Background: Ken and Tarak attempted to inspect and investigate a US military contracted plane at Shannon Airport and took a banner highlighting the situation into the airport. They were arrested for trespass and refused bail.

#FridaysForFuture is hashtag for the global “FridaysForFuture” Climate Strike started by Greta Thunberg last year and is aimed at trying to get people and government to act to do something in the face of the impending climate disaster bearing down on us all. It is ironic that when it comes to climate change we are willing to risk of 1 in 2 chance off disaster, but ask anyone to step on a plane with a one in a thousand chance of crashing and you will get absolutely no takers. First images showing the detour the National Transport Authority plans to provide for cycling after they remove cycle lanes in Rathmines, the most used arterial cycle route in Dublin. As IrishCycle.com website reported previously, traffic counts show that in the AM peak last year, there was 1,637 bicycles and 1,325 cars/van, even with the traffic counts happening in November. read full story / add a comment ![]()

But if these ideas are true, then why has productivity growth slowed at a time when there are more graduates than ever before? Ten thousand people attended a lunchtime protest outside the Dáil on Wednesday, Oct 3 to protest Government inaction on the growing housing crisis and demand change. Masked Garda threatening people with batons in the aftermath of the violent eviction carried out by thugs in Dublin last night. Pepper spray, dogs and batons were deployed, there were 5 or 6 arrests and four housing campaigners required hosptial visits from injuries received in the course of the eviction of the Frederick St occupation.
