Monday 2nd April: Picket at City Hall, Dame Street, 6pm. The City Council will be discussing a motion opposing the household charge.
Keep up the momentum behind the campaign there are sections of the media who would love a poor turn-out to knock us after the successful march to the FG conference. So turn up and spread the word.
There is a write up on yesterday's protest over at the WSM site.
Spirits are High as of Thousands of Household Tax Protesters march on Fine Gael conference

And below is a YouTube video someone took of a RTE report. One should dismiss the turn-out figures for RTE as it is clearly argued above the figure was closer to 10,000
Then there are two further YouTube videos below taken by various people.

Household tax protest march through Dublin
Hi !
Myself and a few others were on this protest march , from the Garden of Remembrance to the Fine Gael Ard Fheis venue , and I would agree with the estimate of 10,000 people present - it was certainly way more than the numbers given by RTE and in most of the newspapers etc.
Also misrepresented was the 'pushing and shoving' incidents at the entry/exit to the venue mentioned above - myself and my friends were directly beside the 'gate' but were repeatedly moved back from same , forcibly , by the Gardaí present.
A few pics and words can re this protest can be found at the 'Related Link' below.
Thanks,
Sharon.
RSF member on the household tax protest in Dublin , Saturday 31st March 2012.
i was there, at a guess i would say there was around 10000 i was at the vita cortex march in cork which had around 5000 poeple on it awhile back and this was much much bigger.
gardai and state media always play down the amount on the streets, generally by half.
RTE gave the figure of up to four thousand attending the march and rally – lower than the Garda estimate of five thousand.
There’s no report on the ULA website to date, nor on the PB4P site. A ULA member I spoke to yesterday said she thought that the attendance had been “much closer to ten thousand”, but the same woman had been saying in the week that the campaign was expecting 20,000 protesters to show up.
It’s a pity that there’s no independent organization that could be trusted to provide accurate information on crowd numbers for important events like this.
