All around the world airports are being built and enlarged in countries which appear to realise the 'climate crisis' is just a load of nonsense. But not in poor, gullible Britain.

Ceann Comhairle outraged by Flanagan’s ‘vandalism’

category national | bin tax / household tax / water tax | other press author Saturday December 21, 2013 10:39author by anon Report this post to the editors

Forced to Pay for Dirty Water

Luke Ming Flanagan had done his research. He knew that the word ‘piss’ was not a banned word within the rarified and sensitive environs of Dail Eireann. He had checked out the Consumer Act in order to bolster his political point.

He then planned and carried out a very clever and effective political stunt to guarantee maximum publicity.

Flanagan wanted to highlight the fact that the Government was planning to charge people for the ‘privilege’ of drinking contaminated water.
ming_pay_for_dirty_water.jpg

To make his point he walked across the chamber and placed a glass of what he described as ‘glorified piss’ in front of junior minister Fergus O’Dowd and challenged him to drink it.

Brilliant theatre, brilliant politics.

But Ceann Comhairle Sean Barrett was not amused. It was, he thundered:

An act of vandalism.

Feck, call out the guard, the barbarians are at the gates.

He went on:

Never before in the history of this chamber have I seen such behaviour by a member in walking down and handing a glass of dirty water to a minister. That is just outrageous and unacceptable behaviour. I’ve asked for an immediate meeting of the Committee on Procedures and Privileges to deal with this matter.

My god, handing a glass of dirty water to a minister to make a political point; surely a crime without precedent, surely a crime against humanity?

And ‘immediate action’, no less?

Never in the annals of our glorious history has immediate action ever been taken against those alleged to have sullied the good name of Ireland.

Has the Ceann Comhairle suddenly woken up to the true nature of the cowboy outfit he regulates? Are we to soon see him take ‘immediate action’ against the many reprobates who regularly abuse and insult the national parliament?

Citizens are not advised to hold their breath.

Ming has made some good points and consciencous people have voted him in , it reflects well on the voters,im no fan of the mick wallace types, but Ming really is out on his own,he is not just a professional complainer you know.
Ask yourself on the turf situation why is it they have helicopters flying over ensuring none get cut for peoples own personal use?
The government wants to OWN EVERYTHING,even things that they do not own, they want to tax, tax, tax tax us to death. What did they do on the problem of co2 in the atmosphere, what did they do to eradicate it,NOTHING,they just taxed it,that wont get rid of the co2 problem but will make them richer. They cant tax the sun yet but they will find a way to tax solar energy when people realise they have been conned and aim for self sufficiency,if people were more self sufficient and energy independant the government would be rendered USELESS,and they are afraid of that!
They dont care about pushing people on small pennies into homelessness, all they care about is making themselves and their buereaucrats richer.
Thats the end game, and a nice pension maybe courtesy of the state, when enda kenny retires after 4 years graft he will be entitled to a full pension as if he workd 30 years in a company.
I can tell you one thing taxes will only get higher because of this, and the next genearation of theives taking thier retirement.

Luke Ming Flanagan performed an act of practical symbolism when he presented a glass of dirty water from a district in his constituency to the Minister during a Dail debate. One hopes that the Minister ordered an official in his Department to send the sample to a laboratory for testing. Incidentally, I think Ming's glass was covered with cellophane to prevent spillage on the Dail floor - or accidentally on the Minister's suit.

I recall that about thirty years ago Sean Dublin Bay Loftus as an independent member of Dublin City Council brought a sample jar of Dublin Bay seawater into a Council meeting to illustrate the level of pollution affecting the bay at the time. So Ming Flanagan was following in a tradition of sorts.

Ming is one of the few that highlight issues that matter, the rest of the government are just propoganda mouthpieces..
