It's been clear for the last 2 years that the argument against the Shell Corrib Gas Project is won.

And the amount of cars beeping their horns in Ennis this evening is testament to the support for Shell to Sea, genuinely.

The Government continue in their refusal to debate the arguments and negotiate a settlement, and they persist in using force against the protests at Bellanaboy, a protest that has gained national and international support and recognition as ... LEGITIMATE & JUST.

Greens - You have buried your heads in the Fianna Fáil mire. Yoy are complicit now. You are proving yourselves to be unreliable and unworthy of trust. The Green Party pumps for Shell.

Gardai took up approximately half of the available seats in the Belmullet courtroom Wednesday, leaving others to stand around at the edges. Things had barely begun when Judge Devins caught sight of a man with a large camera standing at the back. He was brought to the front and reprimanded before the judge turned her attention to the Gardai "if this was the four-courts people would have been searched, in eight years I've never seen this before" – the proceedings were halted and everyone was ordered out to be searched. read full story / add a comment

You don't have to be Harry Houdini to get away from the clutches of the cops at the Rossport protests, since it seems their hearts are not in the role of protesting Shell shareholders' interests as much as they once were.

The Ambassador apologised on behalf of the Israeli Government for the assault and injury caused by Israeli soldiers to the two peace workers in Bil'in last April.

In accepting the apology, Ms Maguire asked that the human rights of Palestinians to non-violent protest be respected and upheld. She also asked that Israel engage in talks with Hamas. read full story / add a comment
